So last night I was in the movie Superbad.
Went with Cory and Holland to get some erm....drinks for a party.
Ya know kool aid and stuff.
Cory drove to Stadium Spirits where we got his kool aid.
Then we went to Speedway to get Redbull and Holland's kool aid.
I had apparently lost my ID so we went back to Stadium Spirits, where I found it in my wallet.
We pulled out and Cory hit a BMW.
Since the guy wanted to call the cops for paper work, we decided to get the kool aid out of there.
I put it in my book back and strapped it on my back, walking 4 blocks in heel and a dress.
We sat at Speedway forever until the guy he hit came in.
Apparently the cops said it was a 2 hour wait.
So we said we would just go to Holland's car in the parking garage.
We finally made it there and Holland had locked his keys in the car.
So we waited for his parents to bring keys.
I just went home.
It was quite a night.

I got a new job yesterday.
Everyone who has worked there thinks it sucks, but I think it's because they don't like to work.
I know that I work hard enough to earn hours.
It's Hollister by the way.
I'm a "model" which is really just a retail worker with the option to actually model.
Whatever. They get the most hours.
It's better than Little Caesars, and even though I can work both, I don't think I want to.
It's the kind of job where you take a shower BEFORE not AFTER.
My kind of thing.

This has been the longest school year by far.
Maybe it's because senior year is dangling in front of my face, but something has just drawn the entire 9 months of school out to feel like multiple years.
Less than a week left.
Definitely going to make the most of this summer, but I excited for next year too.
Hopefully I'll be class president since it's already been put on me to raise money for our class and things. I have some senior cook outs and things planned. It's gonna be fun.

Dear Reed,
It's been weeks since I've seen you. Please do not count points off for not having the correct blog topics. Read Colvin's blogs and tell me what they're supposed to be about. Impossible. He was talking about having a raid and what not. But I came to school today and you are not here. Daniels is covering our class. Woo.
Sincerely,
Tuck

HOBY was amazing.
Being on staff was a completely different experience than being an ambassador.
I got a total of 10 hours sleep the whole time I was there.
Staff was staying up working until 3am and getting up at 6 and 7.
But, good times for sure.
Always good to have 1 week once a year to come back down to earth and put things in order.

So I'm probably really far behind on blogs.
Idk the topics and I can't tell from reading anyone else's so I'll just make things up.
I've missed a ton of school lately but it's all excused.
I'm really disappointed that teachers are still giving excessive amounts of work this close to finals.
Also teachers teaching AFTER finals is a little ridiculous.
Its a FINAL. Not a SEMI final, or a mid term, or an ALMOST final.
It's a FINAL.

"As we go on, we remember, all the times we've had together"
Today is Senior Day.
All of the seniors are on the football field.
It made for an interesting lunch.
The 3 main tables combined, all juniors.
It was a little bit of unity we haven't really seen since high school started.
I'm excited for senior year now, just because of today.

"(You’re a waste) and everything you do, (you’re a waste) proves you’ve got no clue"
What's really wrong with this world is extremes.
Though you may think you're open minded and philosophical, you're really the kind of people that corrupt this world.
Opinions are one thing, but being so pessimistic and against the world isn't going to get you anywhere. It's sad because it's almost as if this type of person believes they're worthless;
That the world is worthless, and they're attitude is waiting to die. But you don't believe in God.
So what are you waiting for? You're not planning on making anything of your life, but you don't believe in anything after.
This was all sparked by a blog I read from one of Reed's classes.
People like this are hypocritical beyond belief.
They have deviated themselves so far from society that they aren't even fully functional human beings. Nor do they care. This person and all others like he/she is a waste of space just waiting to die. For some reason they get a sick satisfaction out of being intelligent, yet totally clueless about the world in reality.
When you debase yourself so far from the real world and create your own, what's left?

I don't think banning people from the US would do much good.
I mean illegal immigrants are banned but they're everywhere...
Not only are they technically banned, but their abundant presence has made it so that we have to learn Spanish just to go to college in our own country. Not to mention in the majority of the country you have to be fluent in Spanish to get a job.
Anyway... I don't think anyone should really be banned.
The laws should just be more strict and controlled.

"I hate everything about you"
This blog topic isn't one I'm enthused to talk about.
It's just...whatever.
I've always enjoyed being well informed about government and world news, but lately...it's just whatever. I don't like having that attitude, but with gas prices, the economy, Obama, an pretty much just everything pertaining to government, I don't even care anymore.
I see that we can make small changes in our lives, but at least for now, we aren't going to do anything major.
Having a point on this issue won't change anything.
However....blog topic.
I think hate crimes are a dumb issue anyway.
The straight, white male in America has less rights than anyone.
Adding a hate crime in there is just a legal load of BS.
If I kill a black guy because he is black, he's still dead.
If my motive for killing him was due to the color of his skin or the way he lives his life,
it doesn't change the fact that he is dead.
Same goes for homosexuals, women, and anyone else under that protection.
It's a way for the victim of the crime to receive money and sympathy, which really puts the real crime to the side, while the attention is on the victim, and not the crime it's self.
Pedophiles should not be protected in any way.
Especially a hate crime.
Are children listed under the hate crimes law?
Probably not.
As Republican as it may sound, death penalty for all 1st offense physical assault pedophiles.

"That's why we're waiting, waiting, waiting on the world to change."
If I could make one significant change to the world...
I'm not really sure what it would be.
I feel like significantly changing one thing would effect everything else in a huge way.
But protecting the environment is pretty important.
I would like to make it easier for people to recycle, so even the lazy ones would do it.
I would like to do some kind of project to get the spiral of plastic out of the ocean.
Everyone would have to plant one tree a year to make up for their carbon footprint.
Not that I'm a big environmentalist or anything, but if I was going to make a change it would be one like this. Trying to change people, government, or laws would be pointless.
But we should get on the Earth's good side before it decides to fight back...

"I'm a Barbie girl, in the Barbie world."
My weekend should be a good one.
I'm finally excited for prom.
Mostly just wearing my dress, being with Cody, and partying after.
But the dance and dinner are fun.
Sunday I'm just going to relax for once.
I finally have a few days off of work in a row.
I haven't had a day off since last Wednesday.
Every weekend is another week closer to summer and senior year.

If I weren't at school right now, I'm not sure what I would be doing.
I've been way too busy to work out lately, which is depressing, so maybe that.
I've been wanting to read.
Also no time for that.
Maybe I would be buying a book.
But what I need to be doing is getting earrings for prom.
I also should be taking my dress for last minute alterations.
Catching up on some sleep would be nice.
But surprisingly, I am here...

"Well Jesus Christ I'm not scared to die, I'm a little bit scared of what comes after"
I was just informed that the Board of Education approved a class for Bible Study.
Oh wow.
I could really talk forever, like in most of my blogs, but I'll try not to.
There is a group of kids in this school who already have an air of superiority to themselves, a cult-like atmosphere, and a seclusion from everyone else.
This group of students attend the same church and completely separate themselves from the group at lunch, events, and even sports games.
Adding a class for it is just another way of secluding them.
This would also have to allow for a scientific studies class or a form of agnostic class.
Though evolution may be covered partially in our science books, teachers completely ignore it.
Although in English, we spend the majority of our time learning about Puritans and skipping much on Realists and Idealists.
In my opinion, this is just like learning about flowers in 6th grade to really teach about sex and reproduction.
It's a subconscious hidden way of forcing a form of thinking on students. But when one line of controversy arises in class, the Christian thinker is always the defended one, unwilling to debate.
Being set in your ways and faithful is 100% different from being close minded.
Even if the class is an elective, I don't think it belongs in school.
They are never open to hear any other form of opinions, so theirs should not be heard, let alone forced upon others, like it commonly is.
Church is not school.
Money should be spent on things we can't be educated on outside of school.
The kids who take a Bible class are going to be those who already study the bible.
Why be redundant?
Give us some real world logic instead of old testament opinion.

"I always thought that I knew where I would go, now I'm here and I find I'm still getting colder."
For the past 3 years my classes have been pretty easy.
I'm in an art cluster so most of them were electives.
My academic classes were always with juniors and seniors during my underclassmen years.
So now, SV has screwed me over very nicely.
Now that I'm older, next year I will be with a lot of underclassmen.
I have 2 electives....
It won't be a very fun year.

"It's just a lyrical lie, made up in my mind"
Everyone lies about something.
I pretty much only lie to my parents.
No reason to lie to anyone else about anything.
But what really grinds my gears are compulsive liars.
People who lie for the sake of lying; for the thrill of attention.
People who make things up just for the satisfaction of having a story to tell are sickening.
If your life isn't interesting enough to tell real stories, don't talk.
Go rob a bank or something.

"Work and play they're never okay To mix the way we do"
I would give anything not to go to work tonight....
I hate it.
All the fat girls act like children and tell on me for everything.
Then they get mad when my manager compares how much harder i work to how hard the don't.
I want my new job to start now, but I won't make as much money at just that job alone.
It's gonna be a great summer of work...

"I hope you had the time of your life"
Once a month I have to spend half of my lunch in an ever so sad Booth Scholar meeting.
Freshman year the program was amazing.
I had never had so much fun or gotten so close to a group.
We really became a family and had a blast.
These days, due to the economy and stock market, the program has dwindled in many ways.
I looked up to the senior class of scholars a lot my freshman year, and unfortunately, there will not be a freshman group next year.
Not only does this change the entire dynamic and a purpose of the program, but it's really sad.
Everything has changed, and though it may effect this year's senior class and my own the least, not being able to come back and mentor, do things from the side I use to look up to, is a depressing thought. It sucks that something I looked so forward to since middle school has gone down with everything else.
I won't ever forget my experiences though.
In just the 3 years I've been in the program, I've had countless amazing memories and opportunities I could not have received anywhere else.

"I'm a young money millionaire"
10 million dollars ay?
If I won that much money I really wouldn't be dumb with it.
I would buy a nice used car, since having a brand new one is kind of scary.
I would also move into an apartment by myself.
(If I could do that since I'm 17)
I would help my grandma out, because she has helped me a lot.
I would send money to Michigan to take care of my other grandmother with Alzheimer's.
I would obviously buy a lot of clothes, because it's great.
I would take a vacation since I've never been to the beach.
I would probably still work just to cure boredom, but not at little Caesars.
I would most definitely pay tuition ahead of time to go to FullSail University!!!
And spend some time doing graphics.

"I feel summer creepin in and I'm tired of this town agaaaain"
How cliche...a Spring Break blog. :)
I decided not to go to Florida, which was a good decision.
Instead, I kind of just used my break as a way to catch up on life.
I got my car straightened out, spent an independent week without my boyfriend, told my best friend that I was siiick of her drama and the negative people in my life
(who I am also getting rid of) , and had some fun.
We went camping, had some parties, and just enjoyed a free week.
I have an amazing burn on my leg from my favorite place, Little Caesars.
Spring Break made me ready to go back to school and get this year over with.
It's the last graduation before my own.

"3.14 apple pie"
I've always been terrible at math.
I pay attention until I get completely lost and confused, then I go to sleep so my bafflement doesn't continue.
However this entire week we have had a different teacher.
She broke everything down better and I totally understand it all.
Not that I don't love my current teacher...I just can't learn from her.
I've done all my work this week and enjoyed it as much as someone can enjoy math.
I'm dreading going back to not understanding anything...

"Money Money Money Money, MOOONEY!"
Okay...so maybe you believe in karma...maybe you don't.
Everything may come back to us all for some reason or another.
HOWEVER!
Only if you really are a good person...and not just doing it for karma's sake.
On yahoo yesterday, I saw where a woman found a check for almost 400k and spent time to find it's owner instead of keeping it for herself.
Come one. Not that it wouldn't cross my mind to find the owner. But I might just wait to see if anyone REPORTED 400,000 dollars missing. I'm not going to do a nation wide search for them.
She also declined a reward.
I think a lot of times, people aren't just being good citezens, but more so hoping that by doing this act, they will be paid in a larger way. You can't do something only in hopes it will come back to you.

"Walkin through the foothills I hear a big stomp"
So lately I haven't had much time to invest in Halo.
I'm really disappointed.
As nerdy as that sounds...I'm okay with it.
Oh how I miss the feel of a headshot.
The thrill of winning a shotty snipes game.
(though unfortuantely that game type has been removed)
Nothing compares to the hilariousness of smack talkers after a game.
(I'm really not that good)
Maybe...just maybe this spring break I will have a chance to play with my dear friend Frenchie.
Although World of Warcraft is tempting too...

"Yo ... My name is bo fo sho, a born Bostonian,
Bo Anderson.
The name has sent chills down the spine of many students.
But why?
Is this bald headed, wolf loving, golf cart driving man really all that bad.
To but it truthfully.
YES.
Bo has been given a minuscule job and blown it up into a lifelong dedication.
We pay his salary, though our pizza place jobs are barely enough to pay our own expenses.
Day after day we listen to his walkie talkie non sense as he scoots about the school.
We're forced to listen to useless information about parking passes and anti-cell phone terrorism safety.
All I ask is...why?
Popular Bo quotes:
"I can do whatever I want"
"I'll put the whole table in inschool."
"Give me that cell phone"
"We'll see what Mr. Swann says about this"
Song: Bo Burnham- Bo Fo Sho

"Stay seventeen, the party scene has got the best of me"
My weekend was very eventful.
Friday and Saturday were both interesting.
Friday was with the people I'm usually with plus a few extras.
Saturday was fun. It was nice to party with people my age for the first time in a while.

"You've got me poppin champagne, I'm at it again"
If you have the maturity and responsibility to vote for the President, do you not have the ability to handle yourself with alcohol?
By 18 years old, college, you are no less capable of drinking responsibly than you will be at 21.
More so you are more than 90% likely to be doing it illegally anyway.
Should we send men to war who we do not trust in consuming alcohol?
Saying you are an adult at 21, then contradicting it with a restriction is asinine.

"Happy birthday Mr. President..."
Obama theoretically resembles the Anti Christ more every day.
Though he was not my choice for president,
I've since decided to be open minded and see what happens.
My conclusion is that it is creepy.
Obama is just a man. He happens to be black.
But somehow he has already evolved into a God in society.
I was at a craft store the other day where lifesize posters of Obama were everywhere for purchase.
They had inspirational quotes and ribbons...all kinds of things.
This is really weird to me.
Not only is he worshiped but he is a very charming man.
Almost too charming.
He seems to have an answer for everything.
Too close to the anti christ for me.
But I guess we'll just wait and see.

"You know I'm fat, I'm fat, you know it"
I've seen a lot of instances lately that really don't make sense.
Recently, at the GG tournament, someone was knocked out, only to receive medical assistance from a 350 pound man. If I am knocked unconscious only to wake up to a morbidly obese person trying to keep me healthy...I'm not going to feel too safe.
I see this every single day.
At least 50% of all the people participating in clinicals at Spring Valley are overweight.
Sorry this is just the truth.
But what gets me is that every single day they walk in with Mcdonalds, Burger King, Hardees or at least what remains of it.
If you are in the health care profession with the opportunity to eat anywhere and you chose McDonalds...you are useless in my eyes.
Think about it. Most nurses in hospitals are overweight or obese and always taking orders for someone to go get food.
How can this portray a healthy image at all?
Makes me sick.

"It's the eye of the tiger, it's the thrill of the fight "
My weekend was a lot different than normal.
My boyfriend's first fight was this weekend in the KY OH WV Golden Gloves tournament.
It was the first fight for Cody and Cory...or so it was supposed to be.
Cory's opponent the first night dropped out, automatically advancing him to the 2nd round.
Saturday, he weighed in at 7am only to find out his 2nd opponent was put in jail.
So Cory won the Novice division for his weight class without throwing a punch and advances to the nationals is Salt Lake City. He received a jacket, trophy, and 2 official wins in his book.
Cory "The Ghost" Maynor is the name he has adopted.
Cody was the very first fight of the night, which was a disadvantage.
He lost but to a much more experienced, south paw opponent.

"I need patience, and time to think before I speak..."
Overwhelming is not even a large enough word to describe it.
For some reason, three years of high school are catching up with me now.
Unfortunately, I do not have time for it.
I received my transcript revealing that I got a B in gym my freshman year...come on.
Way to bring down my GPA tards.
All of my classes are deciding to give homework and do labs at one time, though they never have before. You can't expect me to totally change my life after 5 semesters of the same thing. Let's get real guys.
On top of all that I work 30 hours a week, not counting at least 10 hours of photography and editing. Wanna make it worse? Meeting scholarship deadlines, writing papers for those, and still maintaining a social life.
To put it simply.
I'm sick of being an "overachiever".

"You said we were an accident, you'll always be my favorite one"
I think my best significant other is my current one.
(no I'm not saying this because it's my boyfriend) ha
But out of two relationships that really meant anything this one has taught me the most.
Cody is my best friend.
When we were just friends for a year before we got together I always said that he was more like me than anyone else in the world. Definitely true. We never thought of eachother as anything more than friends for so long, that it was kind of an accident that we got together.
We're nerds. I can play Halo with him or go out and party.
We have a good balance of everything and he's led me to things that have taught me a lot about myself.
He is without a doubt the most honest person I have ever met in my life.
I don't think you should ever change FOR someone.
But I think I've realized that you can change BECAUSE of someone.
For the better.
