"I hope you had the time of your life"

Once a month I have to spend half of my lunch in an ever so sad Booth Scholar meeting.
Freshman year the program was amazing.
I had never had so much fun or gotten so close to a group.
We really became a family and had a blast.
These days, due to the economy and stock market, the program has dwindled in many ways.
I looked up to the senior class of scholars a lot my freshman year, and unfortunately, there will not be a freshman group next year.
Not only does this change the entire dynamic and a purpose of the program, but it's really sad.
Everything has changed, and though it may effect this year's senior class and my own the least, not being able to come back and mentor, do things from the side I use to look up to, is a depressing thought. It sucks that something I looked so forward to since middle school has gone down with everything else.
I won't ever forget my experiences though.
In just the 3 years I've been in the program, I've had countless amazing memories and opportunities I could not have received anywhere else.
